The Black & Gold brought the heat early with an unrelenting attack, and after a couple of narrow misses, Ola Kamara found the back of the net for the early lead. The Revs would respond with a heavy attack that kept Columbus on their heels for much of the first half, however, Federico Higuain scored his third goal of the season early in the second half to send New England packing.
Columbus Crew SC now sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference after their fifth win of the season and their third shutout.
