In this MLS Multiplex exclusive series, we analyze the Columbus Crew SC on a weekly basis and assign them a letter grade each week. How did the Crew do in week five?

Previous Report Cards:

Remember last week when Columbus Crew SC knocked off one of the last two perfect clubs left in MLS? Yeah, well, “Oops, we did it again“. With the Black & Gold’s second shut out in three matches, Columbus ended another club’s perfect run, and moved on to have the longest winning streak currently in Major League Soccer with their third straight “W”.

Columbus Crew SC leave their second week straight sitting atop the Eastern Conference after racking up nine points in three matches, and are currently sitting second in the Supporter’s Shield Standings (only separated by a three Goal Differential).

Needless to say, the mood in Columbus, Ohio is improving. Hopefully that will translate into attendance going up, because as happy as Justin Meram makes me, it’s pretty depressing watching all of those empty seats.

With that being said, let’s take a look the Crew SC’s grade for Week 5.
