Let’s quickly recap the last 3 home matches for Columbus:
- Portland Timbers came to Columbus undefeated and lost.
- Orlando City SC came to Columbus undefeated and lost.
- Toronto FC came to Columbus undefeated and lost.
Winning at home was difficult for Crew SC in 2016, but fast forward to this season for the Black & Gold and they are undefeated in four games at home, a huge difference compared to last year.
Last week, missing injured impact players Higuain, Afful, and Mensah, Crew SC went to Chicago and suffered a 1-0 loss to the rival Fire. This week Afful and Higuain were back on the pitch, and Columbus were able to knock off a different rival with a 2-1 come from behind win.
