Last Thursday, sources confirmed that former LA Galaxy and Mexican national team striker, Chicharito Hernandez, has given the green light for an exciting comeback to his hometown club, Chivas, in the Liga MX 2024 Clausura.

Chicharito expressed his willingness to don the Chivas jersey once again to President Amaury Vergara, indicating that he is eager to actively participate in the upcoming season. Despite tempting offers from MLS, Europe, and the Middle East, the 35-year-old forward has chosen to return to Guadalajara, where he began his professional career in 2006.

Chicharito's decision is not just a matter of geography but also a testament to his love for the club that saw him grow. With an impressive international career, including stints with giants like Manchester United and Real Madrid, the striker has chosen Chivas as the stage for the next phase of his career.

Chicharito's return can be seen as a significant boost for Chivas, aiming to improve their position in the Liga MX after a rollercoaster previous season. The player's experience, combined with his proven goal-scoring ability, could be the magical formula the team needs to achieve success.

While Chicharito recovers from an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered in June, his presence on the field is eagerly anticipated by fans and the Chivas management. The striker, despite his time with renowned clubs, has never forgotten his roots, and his return to the club where it all began is more than a player transfer; it's a rekindled love story.
