Real Salt Lake (RSL) is emerging as one of the contenders to secure the services of English striker Josh Windass. At just 30 years old, the Sheffield Wednesday player is set to become a free agent in the summer, presenting a tempting opportunity for clubs looking to strengthen their attacks.

Since his arrival at Sheffield in 2020, Windass has impressed, scoring a total of 33 goals. His ability to find the back of the net has made him a valuable piece in the English team's puzzle. Now, RSL has its sights on this talent, but as of yet, they haven't made a concrete offer for the striker.

The lingering question is whether the potential acquisition of Josh Windass would be a strategic move to boost Real Salt Lake or a calculated risk. The player's trajectory in the English second division may indicate his ability to stand out in a different setting, but uncertainties about adapting to American soccer may raise doubts among fans.

The RSL board will undoubtedly consider various factors before deciding whether to proceed with an offer or not. Balancing Windass's experience with the potential impact on American soil must be carefully weighed. Will this be a move that propels the club to greater heights, or an investment that may fall short of expectations?
