Corinthians is negotiating the signing of Talles Magno, who is set to leave New York City FC (NYCFC). At just 22 years old, Talles Magno faced a long hiatus due to a knee injury and returned to the field only a few weeks ago, showing that his skill and determination are still intact.

New York City FC, on the other hand, has no qualms about letting the young forward go. After all, they are looking to recoup some of the investment made in 2021. The American club, part of the City Group, acknowledges that Talles Magno did not adapt as expected, and his departure could be beneficial for both parties. For Corinthians, this could be the perfect opportunity to fill a crucial gap in their attack.

Talles Magno's relationship with coach Nick Cushing was never great, which created some discomfort and affected his playing time. Recently, Talles publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation. "My conversations with the coach aren't good, and now I don't play. In training, I'm maybe the best... And I train hard. I don't know if I'll stay. I think not.”

It's not just Corinthians eyeing Talles Magno. Clubs like Atlético-MG and Vasco have also shown interest in the player, but Corinthians seems to be in the pole position. Corinthians' management and coaching staff see Talles as the solution for a position that has long needed reinforcements. The young forward could bring the agility, technique, and vision that the team has been lacking.

And if we think about it, Talles Magno joining Corinthians makes perfect sense. Talles needs an environment that values his potential and gives him the confidence to shine.

Talles Magno has a winning history. He was a key player in the 2019 U-17 World Cup win with the Brazilian national team and the 2021 MLS Cup with NYCFC. At Corinthians, he would have the chance to showcase his talent in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

Of course, a deal of this magnitude is not simple. It involves many details, values, and even the player's desire. But if all goes well, Talles Magno could soon be donning the black and white jersey.
