Fluminense saw its plans to bring in striker Léo Chú fall apart. The Seattle Sounders, the American club holding the player's rights, turned down the Tricolor's proposal, prompting the Rio de Janeiro-based team to withdraw from the negotiation.

The hope of securing the talented Brazilian forward, who expressed interest in returning to Brazil, collided with the decision of the United States club. Despite Léo Chú's expressed desire, the negotiation did not have a positive outcome, leaving Fluminense's management searching for alternatives to reinforce the offensive sector.

The choice of Léo Chú arose after Fluminense abandoned the negotiation for Luiz Henrique from Betis due to the Spaniards' refusal. Now, the Rio de Janeiro club is redoubling efforts to find a speedy winger, staying active in the competitive transfer market.

A product of Grêmio's youth system, Léo Chú has had a distinguished career, including a stint in the United States since 2021. His return to Brazil seemed imminent, but the rejection by the Seattle Sounders adds a new chapter to his story.
