As happens every week, we're back once again to take a look at another night of MLS action. This time, the spotlight is on the outstanding form of South Korean star Heung-min Son.
He was not only instrumental in LAFC's victory over the LA Galaxy in El Tráfico, but also played a key role in the club's 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake.
Now, Son's next stop is Sporting Kansas City at home. Although Sporting KC isn’t the strongest team currently in the MLS, you can’t diminish them, because they arrived at this game with a 2-1 victory against Minnesota United.
However, with LAFC's winning streak, the question surrounding the team is whether Heung-Min Son will be in the starting lineup, or, as it isn’t a tough opponent, the manager will decide to put him on the bench.
Is Heung-Min Son playing tonight for LAFC against Sporting Kansas City?
The truth is that Son’s performance in these last two games shut many people’s mouths. Why do I say this? Because before the World Cup, the South Korean was going through a goal-scoring drought, meaning he wasn't scoring goals and his performances were inconsistent.
However, once his participation in the international tournament was over, South Korea couldn’t reach the elimination rounds, so Son focused on his return to LAFC and on going back to scoring.
Even though Sporting Kansas City isn’t the strongest rival, Heung-Min Son will be in the starting lineup for tonight's game. It is expected that LAFC repeats the same team from the last two games.
There's an old saying in soccer: "Never change a winning team." As a result, Son will remain the focal point of LAFC's attack, leading the line as their number nine.
Everyone expects the Boys in Gold to crush Sporting Kansas City, but anything is possible. The crucial thing is that Heung-Min Son will be in the starting lineup.
