During the game between the Philadelphia Union and the New York Red Bulls, we not only witnessed an intriguing encounter between Cavan Sullivan and Julian Hall, but also saw a pivotal turning point for the Union as their young talent reached a significant milestone.

That's right. Cavan Sullivan isn't just making headlines this season; he's also leaving his mark on MLS at such a young age, because this achievement is no small feat for someone under 18 in a professional sport.
According to the MLS, the achievement Sullivan got was:
“By scoring in the Philadelphia Union's 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls, Cavan Sullivan recorded a goal contribution in his fourth consecutive match, tying Ricardo Pepi (Aug. 21–Sept. 14, 2021) and Diego Fagúndez (May 11–June 2, 2013) for the longest streak of its kind by an under-18 player in MLS history.”
Following the World Cup, the Philadelphia Union found themselves struggling at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Now, however, the team has climbed to 12th place and is just four points away from a playoff spot.
This result comes in handy, with the appearance of more regular participation from Cavan Sullivan on the starting lineup and their new manager, Ryan Richter.
Everyone knows that once Sullivan turns 18, he will be transferred to Manchester City, as already agreed between the two clubs.
For now, the important thing is for Union fans to sit back and enjoy the incredible talent their academy has produced: a player with a fearless approach and technical ability that are becoming increasingly rare in modern soccer.
Without exaggerating, Cavan Sullivan is the real deal for the USMNT’s future, and these achievements prove it. Now, I don’t think the same as Tim Howard; the youngster must win his place in the international roster.
Still, with his current form, he is not far from gaining a first call-up. In the current MLS season, Sullivan played 20 games, recording three goals and three assists.
Despite his low statistics, the young gem has improved substantially throughout the season, and if the Union join the playoff race, it will be in crucial part because of Sullivan’s contribution.
