The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) has announced a new addition to their squad with the arrival of promising Bulgarian midfielder Filip Krastev on loan from Belgium’s Challenger Pro League side Lommel SK until June 2024. At just 21 years old, Krastev already boasts experience in various European competitions and has represented his country at the senior level. This signing raises the question: did LAFC make a wise bet?

LAFC Co-President and GM, John Thorrington, expressed excitement about the player’s arrival, highlighting his dynamic qualities and technical abilities that fit well with the team’s style of play. On the other hand, LAFC has a history of success in the MLS and a solid structure to support their players. With an experienced coach and competent technical staff, the club can provide Krastev with a favorable environment for his development and adaptation.

Another crucial aspect is the loan’s duration until June 2024, with the option for a permanent transfer. This gives LAFC time to evaluate the player’s performance and decide if he is the right investment for the future.
