A good sign of the progress of Major League Soccer is how many international players, including outside of Canada and the United States, are present in the league.

When the 2022 Major League Soccer Season opens this weekend, you will see nations all over the globe represented by this league’s players. In order to help you keep track of them and to provide some additional reasoning to watch other clubs players other than your own, here’s a guide that provides that information for you.

All players listed have either been called up in the latest squad or in one of the latest squads, or are otherwise considered to be on their respective national team’s radar.

Only players currently on their active rosters appear on this list, not in a reserve team or out on loan.
