1. More disciplined defending

In the loss to Miami, Nashville gave up 13 fouls; almost double Miami’s total. Nashville is currently 11th in fouls committed in the MLS. The team is averaging about 12 fouls a match. And looking to upcoming opponent D.C. United; the Black-and-Red currently lead the league in fouls committed, with 267 through 18 matches.

If Nashville can clean up last-ditch efforts from Alex Muyl, Randall Leal, Hany Mukhtar, and Anibal Godoy — who all have committed over 20 fouls this season — then Nashville can focus more on the surplus of set pieces they will have against D.C.
