Weston McKennie could make his first appearance for Juventus
The European season will see multiple leagues kick off this weekend. One of those leagues will be Serie A as USMNT player Weston McKennie looks to make his debut for Juventus. The recent signing should be in the squad that faces Sampdoria on Sunday.
McKennie was in the starting XI for Juventus when they played Italian third division side Novara Calcio last weekend. It remains to be seen if he will make his debut in the starting XI or if he will enter as a substitute against Sampdoria. Either way, an appearance in the match will be a big moment in his career.
Here are a few other matches with USMNT players involved in to keep an eye on.
Bundesliga begins
It will be another season in the Bundesliga for USMNT players Gio Reyna, John Brooks, Timothy Chandler, Josh Sargent, and Tyler Adams. This group of players will begin their respective seasons throughout the weekend.

Reyna and Borussia Dortmund will have a big test as they play Borussia Mönchengladbach. These two clubs both finished in the top four in the Bundesliga last season and will be looking to get off to a good start in the league. After scoring a goal in the DFB-Pokal on Monday, Reyna should make an appearance for Dortmund in this match.
Sargent was a goal scorer for Werder Bremen in their first-round DFB-Pokal fixture and he will be looking to continue his good early season form against Hertha Berlin. He scored in both of Bremen’s fixtures against Hertha last season. For this reason, he will have the perfect opportunity to get off to a good start in his Bundesliga season.
Pulisic, Robinson to make an appearance?
Christian Pulisic nor Antonee Robinson featured in the Premier League last weekend. That could change this time around as both their clubs are back in action. Robinson did make an appearance in the Carabao Cup in mid-week action but Pulisic has not played in a competitive fixture for Chelsea so far.
Both of their clubs have key fixtures this weekend. Fulham will play fellow newly-promoted side Leeds United and Chelsea take on reigning EPL champions, Liverpool. If Pulisic does feature it would likely be off the bench as a substitute as he has not played in a competitive match since the FA Cup final.
Others to watch
Tyler Boyd and Beşiktaş will play Antalyaspor in the second weekend of Turkish Super Lig. Boyd scored for his club against Trabzonspor last weekend and can make it two goals in two matches against Antalyaspor.
In Ligue 1, Lille plays Marseille which means Timothy Weah could feature off the bench again. Weah has made an appearance as a substitute in Lille’s last two league fixtures. His first goal and assist of the season have not happened yet but that could change against Marseille.
