USMNT and USWNT abroad: Pulisic assists, Press scores another

There are a few highlights to get to from Europe in this week’s edition of the USMNT and USWNT abroad.
We begin this week with USMNT star Christian Pulisic who had a very good outing against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. The midfielder assisted on Jadon Sancho’s opening goal. It was one of Pulisic’s highlight reel players of the season for Dortmund.
In addition to his assist, Pulisic also drew a penalty but Dortmund was unable to convert. However, they cruised to victory winning 4-0 against Leverkusen.

This was his fourth assist in the Bundesliga and eighth in all competitions.

United States Women’s National Team forward Christen Press scored for the second consecutive match in Sweden. The Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC striker scored on Monday and then again on Saturday for her new club.

Another potential USMNT player in Sweden had a goal, Romain Gall of Sundsvall scored the equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Dalkurd.
How the rest fared
Weston McKennie went 90 minutes for Schalke in a 2-2 draw with Koln on Sunday.
Tim Ream went all 90 minutes for Fulham and was named to the EFL Championship Team of the Week. Fulham defeated Millwall 3-0. They are third in the table and just one point out of second place, which would earn them an automatic spot in the Premier League next season.
DeAndre Yedlin went 90 minutes in Newcastle United’s 1-0 loss to Everton on Monday.
Bill Hamid started in net for Midtjylland in a 3-3 draw.

Eric Lichaj was back in the lineup for Nottingham Forest and played the entire match against Cardiff City, However, Forest was on the losing end, it finished 2-1 in favor of Cardiff.
Antonee Robinson went all 90 minutes for Bolton in a 4-0 loss to first place Wolverhampton.
Kenny Saief played all 90 minutes for Anderlecht in their 2-1 loss to Genk in the Jupiler Pro League.
Mix Diskerud played all 90 minutes for IFK Goteborg in a 2-0 loss to AIK.
Rubio Rubin entered as a substitute for Club Tijuana in the 72nd minute, they drew Leon 1-1. William Yarbrough played all 90 minutes in net for Leon.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Timmy Chandler played all 90 minutes of their 3-0 loss to Hertha Berlin.
John Brooks returned to the lineup for Wolfsburg on Friday but was pulled after just 29 minutes.
Striker Aron Johannsson entered in the second half in the 71st minute for Wolfsburg.
Heather O’Reilly played 51 minutes for Arsenal’s women’s team.
Bobby Wood entered as a substitute for Hamburg in their 1-0 victory over Freiburg.
Jahn-Christopher George had an assist for Jahn Regensburg in a 3-1 victory over St. Pauli in Bundesliga 2.
Andrija Novakovich played all 90 minutes in Telestar’s 1-0 defeat to De Graafschap.
Omar Gonzalez played all 90 minutes of Pacucha’s scoreless draw against Queretaro.
