Midfielders

Tyler Adams – The youngest player on the list is just coming back from the U-20 World Cup and has been a positive revelation for the Red Bulls this season. He made his professional debut scoring a goal against Chelsea in a friendly. No big deal. Now he’s the calming presence in their midfield this season.

Derrick Jones – Another young homegrown player who has been a pleasant surprise for their club. Jones has been a solid player for an inconsistent Philadelphia team this year. Also a dual national who is eligible to play for Ghana, he’s played for both youth sides.

Cristian Roldan – The first on our list who could get his first cap in the Gold Cup. Roldan is growing as a central midfielder but has filled in for Seattle in many different spots. At just 21 years old he already is at 70 MLS appearances. A lot of fans have been calling for his call up but will have to rise above a crowded central midfield for the U.S.

Kelyn Rowe – One of the most underrated players in MLS at the moment. Rowe has been a consistent source of production for the New England Revolution. He’s gotten at least five goals and five assists each of the past four seasons. He needs some goals this year but is nearly there on the assist total.
