By Daniel Garza
It was a week full of fantastic goals as there were plenty of goals to choose from in this week’s edition of the top goals in the MLS.
Albert Rusnak (Real Salt Lake)
We begin this week’s goals with a laser from Rusnak against New York City FC. The Slovakian was the man of the match in RSL’s 2-1 win as he also provided an assist on the match-winning goal. He has scored three goals in 11 appearances thus far.
David Accam (Chicago Fire)
Pass, pass, and more passing was the key to this goal as the Fire put on a clinic to take a 2-0 lead. They would go on to win 3-0 against the Colorado Rapids.
Bradley Wright-Phillips (New York Red Bulls)
A nicely finished overhead kick gives Wright-Phillips his fifth goal of the season.
Caleb Calvert (Colorado Rapids)
The first MLS goal for Calvert is a beauty has he curls in a fantastic individual goal.
Cristian Techera (Vancouver Whitecaps)
Techera puts away a fantastic first time hit to give the Whitecaps their first of two goals on the afternoon. The Uruguayan has scored three goals in 10 appearances this season.
Miguel Almiron (Atlanta United)
This goal would be the first of three for Almiron as the Paraguayan scored his first career hat-trick for Atlanta.
Haris Medunjanin (Philadelphia Union)
A splendid free kick from Medunjanin proved to be the match-winner for the Union as they extend their win streak to four matches.
Jahmir Hyka (San Jose Earthquakes)
It’s a brilliant first touch and finish from Hyka as is the ball played in that allowed him to get in to score.
Giovani dos Santos (LA Galaxy)
Clever, cheeky, these are just some of the words that describe dos Santos’ goal against Minnesota United. It’s definitely going to be one of the top goals of 2017.
Week 12 Winner
Ola Kamara’s stunner on Sunday was a tough choice to make in a week that was full of plenty of spectacular goals. However, this sublime hit stood above the rest.
