It’s Official! Chicago Fire have signed Bastian Schweinsteiger!
Initial reactions and hype!
The Chicago Tribune have made it official. Nelson Rodriguez has landed his Deutsche Fußballmeister.
With this signing will soon come actual pictures for me to use of Bastian Schweinsteiger instead of stock photos!
For now, these tweets will have to do!

Initial Reactions from the twitter-verse are across the board.
They still won the offseason, tho.

I think I like this Schweinsteiger move. I'm about to go to bed so I'll sleep on it and report back in the morning. Ok? #cf97

can't wait to see how these pieces fit

This would be fine, except Dax/Juninho is the best thing #CF97 has, and this definitely does something bad to that.

Nah it's cool. Drop this news after we record the pod. Wrapped it up five minutes ago and it's already dated. #cf97 https://t.co/WKdXEm0Q30

Stunning. The Fire have finally landed a Premier Player. A sensational star. A globally known player, World Cup champion (and personal favorite). Expect his jersey sales to start selling on Tuesday and showing up at the next home match.
Regardless of the how it all fits together, this was a great move for the Chicago Fire.
The biggest signing since blanco and people are complaining. I love it. Up the fires #cf97

The Fire needed a signing like this. The Chicago Fire just moved the international soccer needle for the first time in way too long a time.
The articles will be rolling out from everyone. Enjoy the extra attention, and use it to push this squad to the next level. This signing will get more fans in the park. But at the very least, the hope will be that Chicago Sports Radio spends more than thirty seconds talking about the Chicago Fire this week.
After months of rumors & speculation, it’s official. We got Schweinsteiger. #cf97 https://t.co/gRyWbYpzi6 pic.twitter.com/IrRbutxpEg

It sounds like Basti will be wearing #31 for the Men in Red. There is no timetable for his arrival as of yet mentioned, so keep on the lookout for that news.
As it stands, today, the Chicago Fire finally got their guy. This is an exciting time for both the casual fan and the season ticket holders.
