Cubo Torres- Houston Dynamo

Cubo Torres had a phenomenal 2 seasons on loan with Chivas USA from Chivas Guadalajara. He scored 22 goals in his 44 appearances with the MLS side. His great form for Chivas saw him get a call up for the Mexican National team in 2014, for whom he has scored 1 goal in 4 appearances.

Torres’s play with Chivas was not why he was one of the worst designated players of all time, though as that came with his move to the Houston Dynamo in 2015.

After Chivas disbanded, the MLS came to an agreement to obtain the rights to Cubo Torres and the Dynamo were able to get their hands on him as a designated player. After going back to Guadalajara on loan for 6 months, Torres played his first game MLS game for Houston on July 25th against the Galaxy, in which he was subbed on in the 59th minute. In his 22 appearances for the Dynamo, Torres only recorded 2 assists and only actually played the full 90 minutes of one match.
