The top scorers from an unusual week 6 in MLS Fantasy.

From Real Salt Lake having to breakout the orange ball, to Houston being shutout for the first time this season, there was plenty of unpredictability in week six. Just look at all the unusual names in the Team of the Week.

Yes that is four Dallas players, and much to my own frustration none of them are Maximilano Urruti. Plenty of players cashed in on taking advantage of playing Minnesota, but those who chose him did not. Let’s take a look at some of the other notable hits and misses from the week.

Three good and bad from Week 6

Good: Nick Rimando Bounced Back

After a horrible showing against Minnesota, Rimando bounced back nicely in the snow getting a shut out and nine points. The team also got their first win of the year in a big way to welcome the Mike Petke era.

Bad: Luis Robles Not Bouncing Back

While Rimando bounced back, Luis Robles did not follow Big Sean’s advice and took an L for the second straight week. he did so while only getting fantasy owners two points.

Good: Javi Morales

He was on hardly anyone’s roster this week, but the veteran made a splash in his debut. His performance landed him on the Team of the Week.

Bad: Keegan Rosenberry

We’re officially in sophomore slump territory for Rosenberry. Philadelphia has struggled as a whole all season and his two point performance only gives him 18 for the year.

Good: First Goals of the Season

Big money players like Dom Dwyer and Sebastian Giovinco hadn’t been living up to their high price tags but both opened their 2017 accounts this weekend to make some owners very happy.

Bad: Chris Pontius

Much like Rosenberry, Pontius is the victim of a Philadelphia team that has all kinds of issues. He isn’t even getting the chance to go the full 90. Killing the hopes of some owners.

Three Players to Pick Up This Week

More from MLS Multiplex

Erick Torres

Oh boy is it a good week if you’re looking to take advantage of Minnesota’s defense. Torres will be looking to make amends for a poor performance against New England last weekend.

Joevin Jones

Vancouver has given up a lot of goals this season, Jones has played an important role in Seattle’s attack and could get you an assist to go along with a possible clean sheet.

Michael de Leewu

The Dutch striker has been part of a much improved Chicago Fire side. With Bastian Schweinsteiger and Dax McCarty running the midfield, de Leewu should get his chances.

It’s awfuly close in the league the difference between 5th and 1st is just 20 points. A well placed captain could mean a big charge up the standings for anyone.
