For many years, MLS was seen as a league where aging stars finished their careers or where young players who struggled at their clubs ended up.

However, since Lionel Messi’s arrival, European clubs are seeing Major League Soccer as a potential source of emerging talent. It happened to Atletico Madrid and Obed Vargas.

The Mexican gem was signed by the Spanish club this year, putting a mark on the US league for other big clubs to do the same bet.

Well, the Colchoneros are back on track to acquire a new star player, but this time, Napoli is also interested in the LA Galaxy prospect.

Atlético Madrid and Napoli are tracking LA Galaxy star Gabriel Pec.

There is nothing to add while arguing about Gabriel Pec and his recent performance with the Galaxy.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian youngster could be the next multi-million export from MLS. Bought by Los Galacticos in 2024, many reports suggested Pec arrived in the MLS as a failed wonderkid.

However, time put everything in place, and today the 25-year-old footballer is one of LA Galaxy’s most crucial players. As a cliché, Pec can play on both wings and capitalize on his skills, speed, and ability to score and create chances to make the most of every Galaxy attack.

Although Atletico Madrid and Napoli are interested, LA Galaxy previously declined a formal offer from Olympique Lyonnais, cause they wanted to keep him for the season.

With that said, Pec’s value is at an all-time high and could end up leaving a substantial amount, surpassing by millions what Los Galacticos paid for him.

According to Transfermarkt, the market value is $7 million, but LA Galaxy could get more than $10 million for this player, making Pex one of the most expensive departures of MLS.

Still, no formal offer has crossed the Galaxy's table, but after the World Cup, the story may be another one.
