USMNT stars Ricardo Pepi and Malik Tillman dominate in PSV’s latest triumph
PSV Eindhoven stay strong at the top of Eredivisie, but this time, their 6-0 win over PEC Zwolle had an extra sheen: Ricardo Pepi and Malik Tillman, two young stars from the USMNT, were vital factors in another victory under Peter Bosz. The American duo proved they could be game-changers at one of Europe's most storied clubs by helping PSV keep their unbeaten streak to dominate the league.

Ricardo Pepi: Star Player in Attack
This Saturday, Ricardo Pepi shone out as the big catch for PSV, which signed him to give more firepower to the attack. This forward scored twice to prove that he knows how to make the most out of every minute on the field. The first goal? A volley worthy of a picture.
In the second half, Pepi netted one with a low-driven shot. Even though he didn't complete his hat-trick-one of his goals was counted as an own goal after a wicked deflection off the backside of the opposing goalkeeper-the USMNT forward didn't let that dampen his spirits. He said, "Unfortunately, that's just the way the rules go. Either way, I'm happy with the goals I scored. For me, that's what counts."
It was just the second start of the season for Pepi, who made the most of it. Five goals so far this campaign, two as a starter, three coming off the bench, and he's turning into a key piece in Peter Bosz's attacking setup. Every time Pepi earns a start, he's earning time to prove what he can do.
Tillman: A Polyvalent and Killer Midfielder
While Pepi was in the highlight up front, Malik Tillman from the USMNT showed his presence in PSV's midfield. The player scored his fifth goal of the season by dispatching a header with precision, extending PSV's lead and giving it more comfort. But his influence goes much farther than scoring. He was decisive during transitions and important in controlling the game.
Tillman was perfect during the 90 minutes, completing an astonishing 98% of his passes while playing a major role in the team's transitions to attack. He had 81 touches, he won 12 out of 16 ground duels, and he made three interceptions and eight tackles. These stats show a player who drives the attack but at the same time helps with the balance of the team at the back.
Tillman is that kind of player who will bring balance to the squad. With his game vision, he opens up space for his teammates and is able to organize midfield with fluidity in an instant.
Impact of USMNT Duo at PSV
Having Ricardo Pepi and Malik Tillman in PSV extends to much more than what they do on the pitch: they are part of a new wave of American talent making their mark across the continent. The USMNT increasingly sees its stars find their feet in major European leagues, and at PSV, the partnership between Pepi and Tillman is perhaps the most apt example.
Both talents represent a big boost for PSV. Pepi has this attacking flair, instinctive goals, and razor-sharp finishing that may prove to be all the difference in turning around the course of a game, while Tillman brings stability with his ability to orchestrate and contribute in both defense and offence, something so important for consistency throughout the season.
But it does not have only PSV benefit from that. The USMNT also carefully watches the growth of Pepi and Tillman, who might be vital for the future challenges of the national team. For them, too, playing in a club belonging to Eredivisie and Champions League, fighting against some of the best teams in Europe, means something very important.
