Adams dominate midfield against Tottenham

On Thursday, Tyler Adams was everywhere in midfield, pressing, intercepting, and distributing the ball to keep Tottenham from finding any space to create plays. His 82 percent passing accuracy and seven tackles led the collective effort that stifled the Spurs for the 1-0 win.

After the game, Adams talked about his excitement with his moment in soccer: "I'm really enjoying my soccer now. The coach helped me get back into it, but he's continued to push me and help me evolve. I want to keep pushing my limits."

The USMNT player also underlined how his teammates played a role in his form: "Being in a good locker room really helps your soccer. When you see the guy next to you running for you, fighting for you, it gives you the confidence to go out there and play freely."

A run of matches that showcased his potential

Adams has gone six straight Premier League games after being back from injury in October, something he has been working minutes toward and getting physically fit: "Whenever I have a run of games, I know I'll be an important player for this team. I haven't reached the top of my ability yet. I'm still young and need to keep developing."

Adams also spoke about how much time he lost to injuries, but he feels confident in his evolution: "Obviously, I missed a lot of time, but I know what I'm capable of. I'm confident in my ability. I want to keep pushing my ceiling."

Still only 25 years old, Tyler Adams feels there is plenty of room for growth at Bournemouth and with the USMNT.

The win over Spurs was Bournemouth's fourth in five matches at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries have climbed over the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks to prove they can hold their own against the Premier League's big boys.

"It feels like every time we play these big games, we're ready for them and find ways to win," said Adams.

One of the names in this new generation for the USMNT, Adams' presence in the Premier League raises the profile of American players playing European soccer, showing what talents are coming out of the United States.

With each passing impressive season, the more his role in the USMNT will grow. He has already made it known that he is just getting started: "I don't think I've reached my ceiling yet. I have so much more to offer, both here and with the national team."
