A few months ago, US media reported that the Vancouver Whitecaps organization could be seeking relocation due to financial issues.
The city most frequently mentioned as the new host is Las Vegas. However, for weeks now, fans and even MLS players have voiced their frustration over the situation the Caps are facing.
Ahead of the MLS All-Star game, which will be played on Wednesday in Charlotte, Thomas Muller, Vancouver Whitecaps offensive talisman, gathered around reporters and discussed his thoughts about the club’s situation.

The first thing the former FC Bayern Munich player explained was the desire to keep the club where it is.
Still, he understands that, as players, they don’t have the influence to deal with the kind of politics surrounding the institution.
“As players, we want the club to stay. But it's not in our hands. There are so many different interests from so many different parties, and it's also a little bit about understanding, about politics, about owners, about the league.”
However, out of any opinion regarding the matter, the German legend was clear about how the organization has to figure out how to get out of this by doing the best for everyone.
“It's quite a mix of interests, and then they have to figure out what's best for everyone. I know how difficult it is to bring everything together, because I understand each standpoint a bit.”
Adding: “And I'm not an internal guy right now, so yeah.”
Since his arrival with the Caps, Thomas Muller said multiple times how he enjoys the city of Vancouver. The truth is that his arrival has completely transformed the Caps' style of play.
Right now, they're widely considered the best team in MLS and, without question, the strongest side in the Western Conference.
However, the uncertainty surrounding the Whitecaps’ future could begin to impact the players, both emotionally and professionally.
Relocating a club to a new city is a complex process, and ensuring the players feel supported and settled throughout the transition poses an even greater challenge.
Now, the Caps are preparing for the second half of the season, with their sights set on finally lifting the long-awaited MLS Cup, the trophy that was taken from them by Lionel Messi's Inter Miami.
