Perle Morroni
San Diego Wave FC

The final French connection for the San Diego Wave comes through 27-year-old left-back Perle Morroni. She is in her second season with San Diego and recorded her first assist against Louisville. Her assist came from the free kick she won that Kenza Dali buried in the back of the net.
Morroni arrived with Cascarino from Lyon, where she had been for three seasons. Morroni was extremely successful with Lyon, winning a variety of trophies for the French side. She also spent time in Paris and Barcelona.
The left back brings her experience overseas to America and will be looking to help the San Diego defense that has conceded eight goals already in five matches. Morroni can become a key figure for the defense and provide a threat down the wing to assist her fellow French contingents.
Julie Dufour
Angel City FC

California is full of phenomenal French women's soccer players. With three on the Wave, Julie Dufour had to spread the wealth with Angel City. Dufour is in her first season in the NWSL and has played in three matches so far.
She played for Paris FC, Bordeaux, and Lille while still in France. She has also had spells with the France U-17 and U-19 sides. She is only 23, which gives her plenty of time to make her mark in the NWSL and for the senior French team.
Dufour hasn't gotten a start yet for Angel City, but as the season progresses, she will be looking to become a starter with a side full of potential. Playing alongside Alyssa Thompson and Christen Press, Angel City could have several goal scorers in double figures. Guidance from Press, a veteran player, could also be key in the development of Dufour.
