Would Julia Grosso be a good acquisition for the NWSL?
Julia Grosso is about to return to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). According to the Spanish newspaper As, the midfielder was on Real Madrid's radar but decided to come back to the United States. What motivated this change of heart? An attractive financial offer, a promising sports project, and the opportunity to play in one of the world's top soccer leagues.
Grosso concluded her stint with Juventus in Italy, where she had been playing since the 2021/22 season. With the Old Lady, the midfielder won four titles: Supercoppa Italiana Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (2021/22 and 2023/24), Coppa Italia Femminile (2022/23), and Serie A Femminile TIM (2021/22).

The Canadian already has experience in U.S. college soccer. It is still unknown which NWSL club will sign Grosso, but one thing is certain: she will be a valuable addition to any team.
At just 23 years old, she possesses excellent vision and technical quality. Grosso moves well across the field, tending to favor the left side. Despite the opportunity to continue in Europe, the midfielder brings a winning pedigree and an average pass accuracy of 89% per game, along with strong contributions in ball recovery.
