Bay FC are causing a stir on the NWSL scene! With a 1-0 win against Racing Louisville FC, the team picked up its second consecutive victory and maintained its third game without conceding a goal. This win puts Bay FC firmly in eighth place, the last playoff spot, after 15 games played. And look, the table is on fire.

In a game marked by solid defending, Bay FC showed that they are here to fight. In the 76th minute, Princess made a fine run and was brought down inside the area. After a VAR review, the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Asisat Oshoala took the spot-kick and sent it into the corner, securing the three points.

But Bay FC isn't all defense and a goal from the penalty spot. In the last six games, the team has won four times, showing progress game after game. The attack may not be sparkling, but it has been effective when needed, with five different players scoring in that time.

This win puts Bay FC on 19 points, just two behind Chicago Red Stars and five behind Portland Thorns FC. It's a good fight and the standings are tight. The North Carolina Courage are also on their heels with 19 points, which makes things even more exciting and, of course, leaves the league playoffs up for grabs.

Of course, a win like this, away from home and with all the ingredients of a good sports drama. With a defense that has done its job, recently going three games without conceding a goal, and an attack that knows how to be decisive, Bay FC have shown that they can surprise.

The coach must be pleased with what he has seen on the pitch. The team is playing with verve, intelligence and showing a consistency that is vital for the course of the season. Bay FC have shown that, despite adversity, it is possible to remain competitive and aim high.
