Soccer is an art, and Orlando Pride proved it once again with a flawless performance against Angel City FC, showing that their unbeaten run is no fluke. With two goals from the talented Adriana in the first half and an extra insurance goal from Barbra Banda at the end, the Pride consolidated their lead and extended their unbeaten run to 16 games.

Right from the start, Angel City tried to show their mettle. A long, diagonal pass from Madison Hammond found Alyssa Thompson, who dribbled past the Orlando defense and almost scored, but her shot went just wide of the post. The warning was there, but the Pride were ready for any challenge.

In the 12th minute, Marta, the queen of soccer, dribbled through the opposition defense and found Barbra Banda, who shot straight at goalkeeper DiDi Haračić. Banda had another chance shortly afterwards, but the ball found the outside of the net. The tension was building and the fans couldn't wait for the first goal.

Shortly afterwards, Marta shone again, winning the ball in midfield and passing to Adriana, who dribbled masterfully and shot into the top corner to open the scoring. And it didn't stop there. Just six minutes later, Banda fired a low shot that took a slight deflection off defender Sarah Gorden. The ball found Adriana, who made no mistake and extended the lead to 2-0.

Angel City tried to react, with Summer Yates and Julie Doyle creating chances, but goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse was insurmountable. In the second half, the Pride continued to dominate, and the ever-present Banda scored a third goal in stoppage time to seal the win.

The game ended with Angel City in desperation, trying to score at any cost, but the Pride defense was rock solid. Megan Reid still tried with a dangerous header, but Moorhouse made a spectacular save, ensuring another game without conceding.

With this win, the Orlando Pride equaled their 2023 winning record and kept alive the hope of surpassing the historic mark of 2017. Adriana, with her brilliant performance, joins a select group of Pride players who have scored two goals in a single match this season. And Barbra Banda, with her 11th goal of the year, continues to be a relentless force in attack.
