Thiago Almada's future at Atlanta United is increasingly uncertain, with interest growing from Boca Juniors. In a recent interview, Almada revealed that Juan Román Riquelme, Boca's vice-president, had contacted him to discuss a possible transfer. "Riquelme called me yesterday. It was a nice call. We talked a bit about everything. If there is a formal offer, I'll go and see it and discuss it with my family," said the No10 of The Five Stripes.

Botafogo, from Brazil, made an offer of €20 million for Almada, but Atlanta United responded by asking for €25 million, temporarily ruling the Brazilian club out of the deal.
