The Orlando Pride have maintained their incredible 13-game unbeaten run in the NWSL. It's the longest in the league, which had the longest streak at 11. The Florida side have been having a great season, fighting for the lead, with the same 29 points as Kansas City Current, who have the edge in the number of goals scored. The Pride could have retaken the lead, but failed to do so due to a goalless draw against the North Carolina Courage.

That's nothing to be sorry about. It's a great achievement. They're the only team to have taken points off the Courage at WakeMed Soccer Park. Seb Hines, who made only three changes for the Pride, recognizes the team's great achievement: "The positives are the point on the road is probably something we would have taken before the game, no other team has done that against North Carolina. A cleans sheet as well, shutout. It is really important to start to get that going as well."

The Pride had the ability to go for the three points, the team creating chances from the start with Marta and Julie Doyle in the very first minutes of the match. Adriana and Barbra Banda also had chances. The Brazilian striker was even sought out by her teammates, but ended up being blocked on five occasions. If there was a lack of flair on the offensive side, there was plenty on the defensive side, with Anna Moorhouse, who made five saves, making it five games this season without conceding a goal.

"After the game, it is almost a bittersweet taste in our mouths because we felt like we played really well. We were really aggressive in our press and caused a lot of troubles to North Carolina and a lot of turnovers. I think after all of it, we have to reward ourselves with a goal. We had countless amount of opportunities to score and I think on another day we take them. That will probably be the reflection this week going into the Utah game next week," said coach Hines.

The Orlando Pride are the team to beat in the NWSL. One of their many successes is the new mentality of the players, who are always striving for the best and to win. Not to mention the team's balance between defense and offense, with the fourth best offense and second best defense in the league.
