There was a lack of goals at WakeMed Soccer Park. In a game where the goalkeepers shone, the North Carolina Courage and the Orlando Pride played out a goalless draw and remain as they are in the NWSL. However, the result ended up in favor of the Pride, who maintained their long unbeaten run in the league of 13 games without a loss, but could increase it to 14 if we count since last season.

Being in contention for the top positions, you'd expect the Pride to take the initiative and they did. Casey Murphy had to work early on, saving shots from Brazilian queen Marta and Julie Doyle. As the half wore on, the North Carolina Courage went on the attack and ended up gaining a bit more ground, looking to give Anna Moorhouse a hard time. The game became open, with chances for both sides, but with the Florida team having a slight advantage over the Courage.

The best players in the game were the goalkeepers. Each made five saves during the game, on the same five shots that went on goal, preventing the score from being opened up. The feeling varied from side to side. The score was important for the North Carolina Courage, whose ambition is to climb the table, but who haven't won in three games, while on the other side, the Orlando Pride, who could have returned to the top of the NWSL, were the only team in the league to take points from the Courage at WakeMed Soccer Park, breaking the team's home winning streak.

When you put the situation on the scales, of course, the Orlando Pride can be pleased with the result. It's a reaffirmation of their consistency and ability to get difficult results away from home. With their unbeaten run intact, the Pride continue to show why they are one of the most feared teams in the league.
