NJ/NY Gotham FC remain unstoppable in the NWSL. With a goal in each half, the team beat Racing Louisville 2-0 at Lynn Family Stadium on Saturday, June 15, to extend their unbeaten streak to an incredible eight games. To make it even better, the feat was achieved away from home, demonstrating Gotham FC's determination, whether away or in front of their home fans. It's no coincidence that the team has conceded the fewest goals in the league, with just six, and that they have a balanced attack, which has been doing its part. In this balance between attack and defense, Gotham FC haven't lost in 17 games.

Their fine performance has moved them up a place in the NWSL and they are now in fourth place, comfortably in the playoffs with 24 points, five behind leaders Kansas City, who have a game in hand. Yazmeen Ryan once again had a good game.

The midfielder's distribution of passes was excellent, with only three errors and a 91% success rate. The owner of the number 18 shirt also scored a goal in the match, her second to be precise, after Ella Stevens had scored in the 21st minute. Stevens didn't touch the ball much, but when she did, she did a good acrobatic move to hit a first-time shot for her fifth goal of the season.

And to think that the score could have been higher. Freeman had some good chances, including a disallowed goal. The reigning NWSL champions, Gotham FC, have been having a good campaign and have a great chance of climbing even higher in the table. Unlike many other teams, Gotham FC continue to show a consistent and formidable performance, reflecting solid work in both attack and defense.
