The number 10 has spent eight seasons with the Pride but has also played for three other teams in the United States league in the past. She is the only remaining player from the 2017 roster that reached the playoffs in the club's second season of existence.

Last Saturday, Marta, the queen of Brazil and an icon in women's soccer, reached an impressive milestone: her 100th regular-season appearance in the NWSL for Orlando Pride. The match, a 1-1 draw against the San Diego Wave, saw Marta come on in the second half, but her presence was enough to mark another page in the club's history.

Marta has been with the Pride for eight seasons, being the only remaining player from the 2017 roster that reached the playoffs in the club's second season. Before joining Orlando Pride, she played for three other teams in the United States league. Over the years, Marta has established herself as the leader in goals (33), assists (17), games played (99), and games started for the Pride, becoming the first player in the club's history to reach 100 matches in all competitions last season.

This NWSL season, Marta has played nine games and scored two goals. At 38 years old, even without the drive of her youth, her experience and intelligence on the field are invaluable. With a 90% pass completion rate and significant contributions in ball recovery, Marta demonstrates that her game has evolved with maturity.

During the international break, she played for the Brazilian national team, scoring four goals in two games against Jamaica. Her return to the Pride coincides with a great moment for the club in the league. With 28 points, Orlando Pride is unbeaten in 12 games and is establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with. The team has the fourth-best attack in the league and has scored in 16 consecutive games.

Marta recently revealed: “I strongly believe that this year we have an even greater opportunity to do even better.” Her words reflect the confidence and potential of the Pride this season.

Marta's influence goes beyond numbers. She represents excellence in women's soccer. Her presence inspires not only her teammates but also fans of all ages. Marta, with her skill and leadership, continues to elevate the standard of women's soccer. The captain of the Pride and the Brazilian national team is undoubtedly a living legend, and her journey in the NWSL is a testament to her talent and perseverance.
