The Washington Spirit has been standing out in the NWSL with an impressive offensive performance and notable consistency. The team has suffered only one defeat in the last five games and only two in the last ten matches, losing only to the Portland Thorns and the Orlando Pride. With 25 goals scored in 10 games, the Spirit has an average of 2.3 goals per game, ranking as the second-highest scorer in the league. The team demonstrates a clear preference for scoring inside the opponent's area, highlighting its ability for accurate and effective finishing.

Croix Bethune, recently named the NWSL Rookie of the Month for her performance during the May competition, has become the first player in NWSL history to win the award in consecutive months. With eight assists, Bethune leads the NWSL in this category, also excelling in ball recovery. Alongside Trinity Rodman, Bethune is one of the players who creates the most opportunities, using her decisive passes to open up spaces and set up dangerous plays.

Bethune has been a starter in all 11 matches of the 2024 season so far, showcasing impressive performance since the beginning of her professional career. She has set new records in the league, including the record for being the fastest player to reach eight assists in the regular season.
