Inter Miami CF, leaders of the MLS Eastern Conference, prepare for one of their biggest challenges of the season on Wednesday (19) when they host the Columbus Crew at Chase Stadium. The match pits two teams at different points in the season, but with one goal in common: victory.

The opponents are the reigning MLS Cup champions, who are on an impressive run of four consecutive wins, all away from home. Columbus beat New York City FC 3-2 recently, reassuring their fans after the Concacaf Champions Cup hangover. With recent additions to the squad, such as Dylan Chambost and Aziel Jackson, the Crew are well reinforced.

The Columbus Crew are currently sixth in the Eastern Conference with 27 points from 15 games, having played the fewest matches in MLS. This will be the sixth consecutive away game for the Crew , who have won all their previous matches. During this run, the Crew have scored an average of 2.75 goals per game and conceded just one goal per match, a remarkable ratio, especially in away games.

Inter Miami, MLS leaders with 38 points from 19 games, have an impressive record, but they have also played more games than any other team, including four more than the Crew. Even without Messi and Suárez, who have combined for 24 goals and 18 assists, Miami have proved to be a prolific team. However, the absence of these stars represents a major challenge, as they have contributed more than half of the team's goals.

The clash promises to be intense, with Columbus Crew looking to extend their winning streak away from home and Inter Miami looking to consolidate their lead, despite absences including injury to Federico Redondo and Diego Gómez, Inter Miami's squad depth will be put to the test against a Columbus Crew side that has proved relentless away from home.
