U.S. men's national team goalkeeper Patrick Schulte remains out for the Columbus Crew with an abdominal issue that could sideline him 2-6 weeks, according to Wilfried Nancy's remarks to the media this week.
Schulte was a late scratch from Columbus' 3-2 defeat at Charlotte FC on Saturday night, and he is now listed as out on the MLS Player Status Report for Matchday 16.
That was only the second MLS game he's missed for Columbus, the other coming when he was on the bench in March for the USMNT squad that lost to Panama and Canada.
Schulte was among the 27 names on USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino's roster for the June camp ahead of friendlies against Turkey and Switzerland, though it seems likely he'll be replaced.
Nancy's No. 1 has allowed 14 goals so far in league play.
New England's Leonardo Campana (hamstring) downgraded to out
Leonardo Campana's return from his latest hamstring injury will have to wait a bit longer than the New England Revolution were hoping.
The Ecuadorian forward was downgraded to out for Wednesday night's clash at D.C. United.
He had been officially listed as questionable for the Revs in their 3-3 draw at Sporting Kansas City back on Saturday but did not make manager Caleb Porter's 20-player matchday squad.
Campana was brought in from Miami to be an upgrade at striker for the outgoing Giacomo Vrioni. He's scored twice in nine appearances but had already missed a few weeks for a previous hamstring issue.
The Revolution have earned four points from the four matches he's missed, against 15 points when he's taken the field.
Colorado Rapids' Rafa Navarro (ankle) is questionable
Chris Armas' top striker is uncertain to return to action in Colorado's trip to Portland on Wednesday night.
Rafael Navarro was unexpectedly absent in the Rapids' 1-0 home win over St. Louis City on Saturday night in a match that was also delayed 90 minutes by severe weather.
Navarro is second on Colorado with five MLS goals, one behind Rapids attacking midfielder Djordje Mihailovic. But half of Mihailovic's haul has come from the penalty spot.
