The Philadelphia Union is becoming a bigger piece to the average Philadelphia sports fan. With 97.5 the Fanatic becoming the radio partner to the Union, it allows for fans to listen to the games on the radio as opposed to having to buy the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. With the Union going to the MLS Final and Philadelphia making it THE MOST WATCHED MLS Final of all time. The team and sport continue to grow in Philadelphia and with Philadelphia becoming a host city for the World Cup in 2026, I only expect the sport to get bigger.

One of the biggest draws to this team has been their scoring ability while holding minimal possession of the ball, one of the best goalies in the MLS (if not THE best), and the gritty play that resembles the city of Philadelphia. The Union are also going to be in multiple tournaments outside of having their typical MLS matches which will both challenge this team and intrigue fans. Seeing how the Union matchup against other teams outside of the MLS should draw some fans. Philly loves a winner and the Union have been becoming a top club in the MLS year after year. While last season wasn’t meant to be for the Union to bring home their second trophy in club history, they are for sure getting close.

If there was a team, I would bet on to become a top club, it would be the Philadelphia Union. With their amazing prospect development and home-grown talent pool that just seems to spit out eventual National Team players, it’s inevitable for the club to maintain success. Especially having Kevin Durant as one of the owners of the club, and as we know, Durant likes a winner.

Regardless of the ownership, everyday it seems like the Union get a better draw and more fans. It seems like it is always a party at Subaru Park in Chester, PA. From the pre-game tailgates with the Sons of Ben to all the awesome things going on around the stadium, there is always something for everyone. If the Union keep winning at home and keeping that unbeaten streak going, it will just draw more fans to the stadium.
