New York Red Bulls, MLS Announce 2023 Regular Season Schedule

The New York Red Bulls and Major League Soccer announced their schedule for the 2023 regular season. New York’s 34-match slate – featuring seven mid-week matches – begins in Orlando, Fla. on February 25.

New York kicks off its season on the road for the second consecutive year, before hosting Nashville in its home opener on March 4. New York hosts MLS Cup finalist Philadelphia on May 6, the Union edged the Red Bulls (0-1-1) in the season series a year ago.

The Red Bulls welcome Eastern Conference rivals New York City FC as part of MLS’s Rivalry Week on May 13. The Red Bulls are undefeated against NYCFC (3-0-0) in the month of May.

In a rematch of round one of the 2022 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs Round MLS Cup, New York and Cincinnati FC square off at Red Bull Arena on July 12 in the first leg of the season series. The Red Bulls travel to Cincinnati on Oct. 4.

The schedule features six additional cross-conference opponents in both home and away featuring Minnesota, Real Salt Lake, and Austin FC – who will visit Red Bull Arena for the first time in program history.

MLS Decision Day, which is the league’s final regular season matchday, is on Oct. 21. The Red Bulls conclude their regular season away against Western Conference rivals Nashville SC. MLS Decision Day kickoff times will be determined at a later date.

Last season, the Red Bulls held a more favorable record away from home posting a 9-5-3 mark. New York finished fourth in the Eastern Conference with 53 points and compiled a 15-11-8 season.
