Christian Pulisic has been linked to Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle recently. However, it is unlikely that Chelsea will sell to a Premier League rival – so his best option would be to head to a different league in Europe.

90min has reported that more clubs are interested in the USMNT player; Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. But the article goes on to say, “none of those interested sides have any desire to cover Pulisic’s enormous wages in full.”

Pulisic’s game time at Chelsea looks like it will become even more limited. The Blues are being linked with forwards, Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao, of RB Leipzig and AC Milan respectively.

In order for Pulisic to make sure he gets sufficient game time, he must leave Graham Potter’s side, and should not let his wages get in the way of him joining a club where he can flourish.

Should Christian Pulisic sign with Liverpool?

Moving to Liverpool would be a chance for Pulisic to stay in the Premier League, and it would also see him reunited with his former manager at Dortmund, Jurgen Klopp.

Pulisic never made a senior appearance under Klopp, but the German manager was instrumental in bringing him to the club, when Pulisic was just 16.

However, with the Reds being a rival of Chelsea, and with them both competing directly for a Champions League place this season, it would be very unlikely that Potter’s side will allow him to go there.

Should Christian Pulisic sign with Inter or Milan?

It would be an opportunity for Pulisic to play in a different league. However, in Italy, many clubs have a very defensive approach to the game, and often like to use wing-backs. This may not suit Pulisic, as he has struggled when deployed as a wing-back at Chelsea.

Inter Milan plays with a back five, so a move to AC Milan would be his best bet. However, Pulisic’s USMNT teammate Sergiño Dest has struggled for game time at the club, which may put Pulisic off.

Should Christian Pulisic sign with Atletico Madrid?

Atletico Madrid could be a perfect fit for Pulisic. He is yet to play in La Liga, so it would offer him a fresh start.

He would be able to play under Diego Simeone and reunite with his former Dortmund teammate Axel Witsel.

However, Atletico has already been knocked out of Europe after finishing bottom of their Champions League group and sit fifth in the league, leaving them in contention to get back into the competition for next season.

Should Christian Pulisic sign with Borussia Dortmund?

Dortmund was the club where Pulisic made his name. His form at the club was what got him his move to Chelsea. The club continue to help develop talent, with Jude Bellingham being the stand-out young player currently at the club.

However, some say never go back, and this could be seen as a backward step for Pulisic. He does have a US teammate at the club, Giovanni Reyna. However, there have been recent reports of the national side being split, due to Reyna not giving his all in training. This could be a reason for Pulisic to look elsewhere.

There are a lot of suitors for Pulisic, his country needs him to find a club where he can settle ahead of the World Cup in 2026, which they are co-hosting. Therefore, he must choose wisely.
