The Rebuilders

11: Chicago Fire FC (9-7-18), 34 points

Don’t be too hard on yourselves, Chicago. You may not have a winning soccer team for a while, but at least you will always have Chief Keef.

The Fire finds themselves in a full-fledged rebuild and, as rebuilds go, are near the bottom of the table after picking up nine wins and selling arguably their best player in Przemysław Frankowski.
Here is to the future, Chicago!

12: Inter Miami (12-15-7), 41 points

In between MLS investigations and rumors linking them to every star over 30 in Europe, Inter actually played games.

Finally playing a full season schedule after their abbreviated inaugural campaign, Miami failed to reach last year’s heights of sneaking into the final seed.

On paper, it would appear that Miami would have a quality attack, with options like former #1 overall pick Robbie Robinson, Gonzalo and Federico Higuain, Mexico international Rodolfo Pizarro. Still, the quality has not been the case. New coach Phil Neville managed to get his team to fire only 36 goals, the second-fewest in MLS.

As best described by a source in The Athletic, David Beckham and ownership seemingly have “launched a brand, not a team.”
