# 5 Ryan Gauld – $8.6M – Average Points: 5.2

The first player to crack the sleeper list this week is Ryan Gauld of the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Scottish midfielder has been excellent since playing his first MLS minutes in round 15. Gauld has averaged eight fantasy points per game in his three weeks and has scored or assisted in three of the five games he has played this season.

Gauld played in 72 minutes last week against Real Salt Lake. He has been seeing an increase in playtime each week, so we should expect him to play 75+ minutes on Saturday.

Another reason to favor Gauld this week is that Vancouver will be matched up against Austin FC, a team that has given up at least one goal in 10 consecutive matches.

Gauld is currently owned by just 2.11% of all MLS fantasy managers.
