After a frustrating round 18, many MLS Fantasy owners will be looking for a big bounce-back week in hopes of placing in the top 50 for the final MLS Fantasy Champions League qualifying round.

A key fantasy trend that we here at MLS Multiplex have noticed this season is that shutouts have been harder to predict than ever. Last round, just six of the 20 teams that took the field were shut out.

This means that it may be better to focus on defenders who earn more bonus points from crosses and passes and not as much on the players who you believe could earn a shutout bonus.

MLS Fantasy Round Nineteen!

Round 19 will not be a double-game week. Eight teams will kick out on Friday, while the remaining will play on Saturday. The Seattle Sounders, the New York Red Bulls, Toronto FC, CF Montreal, Atlanta United, Los Angeles Galaxy, Chicago Fire, Minnesota United. and D.C. United will all be on a bye this round.

Also, when selecting your MLS fantasy roster this round, be sure to double-check the team’s roster for players who will be away on international duty for the World Cup qualifying matches.
