As of Saturday afternoon, a source said that Palmer-Brown’s move to Venezia is not yet done. While Palmer-Brown and his representation have convinced Manchester City to work out a deal with Venezia, nothing has been formally agreed to between either club.

Manchester City would prefer Palmer-Brown transfer to Troyes, which is part of the City Football Group.

Details about Erik Palmer-Brown’s transfer

If the deal goes through, which seems promising at this point, then Venezia will be paying Manchester City €3.2 million Euros for Erik Palmer-Brown. The deal with Venezia would be €2.5 million Euros plus add-ons for the player.

The 24-year old Palmer-Brown has two appearances with the United States national team and has played extensively at the U17 and U20 level. He joined Manchester City in 2018 after coming up the ranks of Sporting Kansas City’s Academy and breaking through with the first team as a teenager.

With Manchester City, he has gone out on loan three times including a stint in Holland at NAC Breda and now two seasons with Austrian Wien.

A move to Venezia and their American ownership would be ideal for Palmer-Brown given that he would be playing regularly in one of the top three leagues in the world and would have a pathway to significant playing time with the recently promoted club.
