Husein Balic is currently fielding strong interest from five MLS clubs, all of whom are tracking the LASK midfielder.
The 25-year old midfielder counts the LA Galaxy, Sporting Kansas City, Columbus Crew, D.C. United and Toronto FC among those trailing him. An attacking wide player, Balic has primarily been deployed on the left side but also has played centrally in the midfield or on the right wing for LASK.
He has been capped once by Austria’s national team and has five appearances with the U21 national team as well.

Balic is dominantly right-footed but is comfortable cutting in. He’s a relatively good finisher as well.
Comfortable with the ball at his feet, he seems to excel in 1 v. 1 situations. He has a good touch and the ability to pass through lines. In addition, he runs channels well when deployed up top or on the outside of a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 alignment.
In 18 appearances this season for LASK, Balic has played 1,100 minutes. He has three goals and two assists, showing a comfort on the ball that should see him be a valuable player if he were to make an MLS move.
No offer from the five teams tracking him within MLS has been made at this time, however.
Across all competitions, spanning 29 appearances and 1,897 minutes played, Balic has nine goals and three assists. This includes Europa League (qualifying and the regular competition) where in seven appearances he has three goals.
An ankle injury limited him earlier this season but he has been solid in recent weeks. In mid-February, he had a goal in 2-0 home win over Sturm Graz. Then two weeks ago, Balic logged 76 minutes as a center forward at SCR Altach where he had an assist.
This past November, there was a rumor that Celtic in the Scottish Premier League had begun to show interest in Balic and was trailing the player. The club has won the domestic title in Scotland for nine straight years.
