LA Galaxy are trying to re-sign Cristian Pavon from Boca Juniors. Greg Vanney is keen to boost his attacking options and has made a move for last season’s fans’ favourite, according to a report by Argentinian news outlet Tyc Sports. Pavon, who is 24 years old, has been LA Galaxy’s key player since August 2019 and bringing him back would be a real statement of intent by them in preparation for the 2021 season.

He has made 35 appearances for the MLS outfit altogether and has chipped in with 14 goals and nine assists. Many feared his departure back to his parent club would leave a big void in Galaxy’s squad but they are now in the hunt to re-sign him.
Many thought Pavon’s time at Boca Juniors was over when he made the move to America but he remains there today, well for now. He joined the Argentinian champions in July 2014 having previously spent his career to date on the books at Club Atletico Talleres.
They initially loaned him out to Colon before he went on to bag 29 goals in 118 games before his move to Los Angeles. LA Galaxy fans will be praying that Pavon re-joins them now for the 2021 season.
There is no doubt that they need more quality in their ranks if they are to compete this year and he has proven himself over the past couple of years.
Vanney has work to do to get LA Galaxy back where they believe they should be and Pavon would be ideal. Galaxy have a new goalkeeper in their roster for the next campaign with Englishman Jonathan Bond making the switch from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.
