The Italian giants are expected to focus more on their player recruitment in America over the next few years. They have enjoyed success with Weston McKennie recently, with the former FC Dallas man becoming a hit with them since joining from German side Schalke 04. They may now turn to his USA team-mate Araujo.
Araujo, who is 19 years old, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and will be a key player for the USA national team in his career. The full-back has made 37 appearances for LA Galaxy so far and has chipped with a single goal and three assists from defence.
He is becoming an important player for Dominic Kinnear’s side and they will be desperate to keep hold of him for next season at least. However, the fact that Juventus are now being mentioned shows what a promising talent is he and how hard it may be for the Galaxy to keep him.
The California-born man has risen up through the youth ranks with LA Galaxy and is a credit to the work they are doing with younger players. However, as Juventus look to raid the MLS for upcoming stars, they could find it hard to stand in the way of a dream move for him. This is a story to keep an eye on as we creep into 2021.
