LA Galaxy will be hoping for more of the same from Sebastian Lletget next year
Sebastian Lletget has been ever-present for LA Galaxy over the past five years and they will be hoping for more of the same from him in 2021. The MLS side massively under-performed in the past season which was overshadowed by Covid-19 and will be looking to improve when soccer comes back around again.
Only Boca Juniors loanee Cristian Pavon performed better for Galaxy than the consistent Lletget over the past 12 months, which outlines his importance to their team. The 28-year-old scored six goals and gained four assists from midfield. Delving deeper into his statistics, he had 37 shots, with only Pavon having more, 18 of which were on target, as per their official club website.
Lletget is gaining more experienced and wiser as his years in MLS increase and he is maturing into a significant player for Dominic Kinnear’s men. The United States joined the club in 2015 and has since bagged 27 goals in 151 games altogether.
Before his move before to LA, he had started his career in the US but switched to England as a youngster to sign for West Ham United. He penned his first professional contract with the London club 10 years ago but made just one first-team appearance for the Hammers, spending most of his time there with their youth sides.
Lletget has found a home at LA Galaxy and will be hoping to cap his sixth season playing for them with some success next year. They will just want to continue performing. In terms of recruitment, the Galaxy needs to bring some more players in over the course of the post-season to ensure they have a strong roster.
