Haji Wright is off to a great start in Denmark with five goals in six appearances.

A move to Denmark is proving to be a good change of location for Haji Wright. The 22-year-old has scored five goals in six appearances for SønderjyskE in the Danish Superliga. His latest appearance for the club over the weekend resulted in his fifth goal of the campaign as he scored the match-winner against Randers. Wright is in his first year at SønderjyskE after leaving VVV Venlo in the Eredivisie after just one season.

Wright is currently tied with Patrick Mortensen of Aarhus Gymnastikforening for the top scorer spot in the Superliga. The American forward does lead the league in goals per 90 minutes. With Wright showing good form in Denmark he should be one of the selections for the upcoming November United States Men’s National Team camp.

More goals from the strikers

There was yet another goal scored by Aron Johannsson for Hammarby. Johannsson registered a goal against Ostersunds in a 3-1 victory for Hammarby. It was the American striker’s 10th goal of the campaign. At the end of the match week, Johannsson is in sixth place in the race for the top scorer in the Allsvenskan. He only trails the leader Christoffer Nyman by three goals.
