FIFA 21: The MLS players with the highest potential

A total of 18 MLS players have the potential of an overall rating of 80 or better in FIFA 21

The long wait is over for FIFA 21 as the game is now available to play. With the arrival of the game comes the full ratings for all of the MLS clubs. Now that all the ratings are available the full scope of the players with the best potential can be seen. There were a total of 18 MLS players who have the potential to reach an overall rating of 80 or higher.

Here are those 18 players according to FIFA Index.

Brenden Aaronson

It’s no surprise to see one of the MLS’ best young players have a potential of 80. Aaronson is a regular player in the starting XI for the Philadelphia Union and is reported to be heading to Red Bull Salzburg. The 19-year-old is rated at 68 overall but his maximum potential is 80 overall as he progresses in FIFA 21.

Julian Araujo

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder is one of the many young emerging stars in MLS. Fresh off his first goal in MLS, the 19-year-old has been a key player for the Galaxy this season. He is rated at 65 overall with his maximum potential set at 80 overall.

Diego Palacios

Los Angeles FC’s starting left-back is the best defender on Bob Bradley’s team. The 21-year-old has already been called up to Ecuador’s national team and was recently selected for the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers. Palacios is rated at 70 overall with the potential to reach 80 overall.

Nicolas Acevedo

New York City FC’s recent signing is among those with the greatest potential in FIFA 21 from MLS. The midfielder has not made very many appearances for NYCFC this season so far but he does appear to be a player who can make an impact once he settles in. Acevedo is rated at 66 overall with an 80 overall potential.
