MLS Power Rankings: 15. Nashville SC (+1)

For the second time in their last three matches, expansion side Nashville SC have kept a clean sheet, and they did so this weekend against New England Revolution. Thanks to that result, they move up to No.15 on our Power Rankings, their highest ever position.

They achieved a goalless draw with the Revolution, despite only having the ball for a third of the game. They only managed a single shot on target but came away with a well-earned point for their troubles.

The side from Tennessee continues to impress in their debut campaign and hold on to the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference, the final playoff spot in the division. They face Minnesota United and Sporting Kansas City this week, with that first match against the Loons coming on Tuesday.

This Week’s Fixtures: vs. Minnesota United (Tue 6, 8:30 pm ET), @ Sporting Kansas City (Sun 11, 7:30 pm ET)

MLS Power Rankings: 14. Colorado Rapids (=)

The Colorado Rapids were scheduled to play the Portland Timbers this weekend, but after additional positive COVID-19 tests in the Rapids camp, the game was postponed and will now be played November 4.

This Week’s Fixtures: vs. Los Angeles FC (Wed 7, 9 pm ET), vs. LA Galaxy (Sat 10, 7 pm ET)

MLS Power Rankings: 13. New York Red Bulls (-3)

Dropping several places on this week’s Power Rankings are the New York Red Bulls, following a resounding defeat in Florida at the weekend. This is their fourth loss in their last seven regular-season matches.

They came unstuck against the high-flying Orlando City, with Daryl Dike scoring the opener in the first half. Goals after the break from Junior Urso and Antonio Carlos put the game to bed, despite Florian Valot’s consolation strike.

The side from the Big Apple are now in 7th spot in the Eastern Conference and are just four points above the red line. They face Inter Miami and Atlanta United this week, with both sides currently below them in the standings.
