By Daniel Garza
Here are the top three MLS offensive performances of Week 7
There were plenty of high scoring matches over the course of the seventh week of the Major League Soccer regular season. In total, there were nine fixtures that had three goals or more scored. Real Salt Lake and the Portland Timbers took the top spot with eight goals being scored in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
With lots of goals being scored, there were many great individual performances. Here are the top three offensive performances from Week 7 of the MLS season.
#3 Darwin Quintero
Quintero played a big role in helping the Houston Dynamo get all three points against Sporting Kansas City. He finished with two goals and two assists in the match. This was his first fixture in his MLS career where he recorded a total of four points.

The result itself helped the Dynamo immensely as they earned their first victory of the season in emphatic fashion. Quintero will be a key player for them as they look to build off of their massive win. If he can consistently produce great performances they should find the win column more often in the weeks to come.
#2 Chris Mueller
The incredible 2020 campaign for Mueller continues. After a great showing at the MLS is Back Tournament, the Orlando City player has picked up where he left off.
In both of Orlando’s victories last week he registered a goal and an assist. As a result, he was among the top performers in MLS over the course of the week.
Mueller is really turning into a player capable of being one of the breakout stars in the league in 2020. He has provided consistent offensive production and looks to be destined for a United States Men’s National Team call-up in the near future. If he can continue his good form for the rest of the season, Mueller has a real opportunity to set himself apart as one of the top attacking players in MLS.
#1 Kacper Przybylko
A three-goal week for Przybylko helped propel the Philadelphia Union to two victories. He scored the match-winner against the New York Red Bulls and then recorded a brace in the 4-1 rout of DC United. Against DC, he also registered an assist to cap off an amazing performance.
Following a 15 goal season in 2019, Przybylko has a chance to replicate his goal total during the 2020 season. If he can produce similar numbers to the 2019 campaign he should be in the running for the Golden Boot at the conclusion of the regular season. With a wide-open Golden Boot race, this might just be Przybylko’s season to be the top scorer in MLS.
